How to access foreign online resources subscribed by the National Library remotely

We would like to remind library users that they can use foreign online resources subscribed by the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania from the comfort of their home.

Accessing our library’s foreign subscription databases remotely is very simple. You can use the Ezproxy service available at www.lnb.lt › DISCOVER › Databases › Licensed databases for online users. You are free to browse our subscription databases at home by entering your reader’s card number.

The National Library offers the following foreign academic subscription databases: EBSCO Publishing, Emerald Management eJournals Collection, JSTOR Collections, Project MUSE, SpringerLink, Taylor&Francis SHH Library and S&T Library, Wiley Online Library, and Naxos Music Library. These databases contain electronic publications, online magazines and journals, books, articles, conference materials, reports, videos, and resources on humanities, social sciences, physical sciences, agriculture, biomedicine and technological sciences as well as music recordings. The information is available in Lithuanian, English, German, French and other languages. The National Library also offers its users academic ebooks on social sciences and humanities. To access them, select De Gruyter or Taylor & Francis Group databases.

If you do not want to search for information in each foreign subscription database separately, you can use EBSCO Discovery Service which provides users with a single search box that makes information research easy. You can access this search tool on the page of the National Library at www.lnb.lt. Before entering your key words in the search field, choose “Search in databases”.
