She obtained a doctorate degree in Vilnius University’s Faculty of History on 27 June 2019 (the dissertation “Western Europe in the second half of the 6th – 18th century travel writing of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania“; research advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liudas Jovaiša (Vilnius University)).
She investigates travel writing of the early period of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and egodocuments from the 16th–18th centuries as well as promotion and circulation processes of old books and their paratexts and the interaction of these processes. In her research, she mainly applies analytical, historical and provenience methods.
In 2020, she won a scholarship of the Consortium of European Research Libraries (CERL) for young librarianship professionals: she is involved in aggregating the international database of incunabula Material Evidence of Incunabula (MEI). During the internship, she advances in knowledge of the field of incunabula research and produces metadata for incunabula preserved in Lithuania. She also participates in compiling a catalogue of books produced at on of the most prominent printing houses of Europe, the Plantin Press, preserved at the National Library as well as in other projects devoted to the investigation and promotion of old books.
