Readers are welcome to explore the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania by joining our tours. We invite you to visit us and join us for a tour of the house of books where we will tell you some interesting stories and share the most valuable asset that we have accumulated, i. e. knowledge.
On weekdays, the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania organise free tours for persons who satisfy at least one criterion of the National Certificate (COVID Certificate), during which you, accompanied by a guide, will be able to get acquainted with the Library's spaces and services and get to know the building's history. The duration of the tour is about 1 hour. Tours are provided for organised groups of 5–10 persons in Lithuanian, Russian, and English.
Before arriving to the Library, please make yourself familiar with changes in the Library's operation beginning with 1 October.
Visitors to the National Library are kindly asked to leave their outerwear in the self-service lockers located on the 2nd floor in front of the registration and information desk (the lockers are activated by 1 euro coins). After securing your outerwear, please return to the lobby where you will be greeted by a guide.
The administration reserves the right to cancel the scheduled tour if it coincides with any events held at the National Library. We thank you for your understanding and we are looking forward to welcoming you at the National Library.
