Cinema retrospective of director Almantas Grikevičius and actor Bronius Babkauskas

December 14-16 The Lithuanian Film Center invites you to a retrospective of director Almantas Grikevičius and actor Bronius Babkauskas.

The event will take place in the Conference Hall of the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. It will feature three legendary films of Lithuanian cinema classics, directed by A. Grikevičius, and the memorable roles played by actor B. Babkauskas.

You will have a unique opportunity to be the first to see A. Grikevičius' film "Ave, vita" (1970), which has just been restored and adapted to modern cinema screens.

This program aims to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the death of film director A. Grikevičius (1935–2011) and the 100th anniversary of the birth of theater and film actor B. Babkauskas (1921–1975).

Program:

December 14th 18.00 “Ave, vita” (dir. A. Grikevičius, 1970). Premiere of the restored film. The film will be presented by film critic Neringa Kažukauskaitė. A film with Lithuanian subtitles adapted for the deaf and hard of hearing (SDH). Please register here.

December 15 18.00 “Feelings” (dir. A. Grikevičius, Algirdas Dausa, 1968). Movie with English subtitles. Please register here.

December 16 18.00 “Sadūtu tūto” (dir. A. Grikevičius, 1974). Movie with English subtitles. Please register here.

All movies will be shown for free, but registration is required.

The films have been restored and presented by the Lithuanian Film Center.
