Lithuanian Language Days are being held in Lithuania and abroad from February 16 to March 11 – it’s a great opportunity to start or continue learning Lithuanian.
Lithuanian is one of the oldest living European languages. It has preserved unique grammatical forms and a rich vocabulary. Learning Lithuanian will enable you to become part of society, giving you easier access to public services and allowing you to actively participate in the country's cultural life and establish strong connections.
Do you live in Lithuania and want to learn Lithuanian?
The Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania invites you to take advantage of a variety of Lithuanian language learning resources: textbooks for various levels (from beginner to advanced), grammar books and exercise books, bilingual dictionaries, and audio materials.
You can borrow publications for independent study by ordering them through the iBiblioteka.lt portal or read them in the library. We invite you to take advantage of the list of publications prepared for learning Lithuanian.
If you plan to study with friends or a teacher, we invite you to use the meeting rooms at the National Library – we welcome everyone looking for a modern space for productive meetings in our comfortable and cozy rooms. More information about the meeting rooms can be found here.
For help with searching for publications or other questions, you can always contact the information search consultants in the reading rooms or write to
