The National Library is undergoing renovations: temporary changes to the rules for using reading rooms and common areas

Dear readers, 

please be informed that from March 26 to April 22, access to the Leisure Reading Area on the third floor will be restricted due to renovations taking place in the library.  

While the renovation work is underway, it will not be possible to reserve publications from the Leisure Reading Collection via the portal www.ibiblioteka.lt.  

Changes to reading room operating hours:  

Starting March 26, the Social Sciences Reading Room will be closed; visitors will be able to use additional workstations in the Event Space on the 3rd floor. During library hours, readers will be assisted by a bibliographer on duty in the Humanities Reading Room. 

The Lithuanian Studies Reading Room will be open during library hours; the entrance to the reading room is on the 5th floor.

Additional information regarding other restrictions on the use of library spaces during the renovation will be provided; please follow library news on our website https://www.lnb.lt/ and Facebook page.
